Windy City Queercast
WCQ609 Kelli Simpkins and Standing Underneath Night and Day

Host: Amy Matheny

Amy is excited about the Supreme Court hearing the cases of four same sex marriages. She is also very excited about our guest Kelli Simpkins today and the topic of our youth and elderly LGBTQIA members.

Guest: Kelli Simpkins returns to the Queercast! Kelli speaks with Amy about her newest project, Standing Underneath Night and Day, with About Face Theatre. Over 50 people were interviewed who lent their voices to those who have no voice. Homophobia, isolation, bullying and social media will be topics covered in this workshop. The reading will take place at the Center of Halsted on January 24th and 25th. For tickets visit www.aboutfacetheatre.com

Music Featured on This Queercast: Ultimate Painting - "Talking Central Park Blues" and The Underscore Orkestra - "Swing Gitane"
