Better Existence with HIV ( BEHIV ) announced Aug. 31 that its 60-Day Drive fundraising project raised over $20,000 to bridge the gap in decreased and delayed funding.
BEHIV's drive was organized by the organization's staff, board of directors and volunteers. The drive began in early June and ran into early August. Multiple fundraising events and projects were held, including a kick-off event at Saluté Wine Bar; major donor requests; bingo at Hamburger Mary's; house parties; BEHIV's annual Garden Party; and a staff/board drag show grand-finale event.
BEHIV will continue its fundraising activities this fall with numerous events, including Massage Therapy Bar Day Sunday, Sept. 20; the AIDS Run & Walk Team BEHIV event Saturday, Sept. 26; the AIDS Run & Walk on Saturday, Oct. 3; and an art therapy exhibition and reception Wed., Nov. 4.
