CHICAGO — May 24, 2012. In a brand new musical from The Annoyance, a wide-eyed gay boy comes to Chicago looking for love in all the wrong places when he stumbles on a popular bathhouse, Steamwerkz. As our hero makes his way through the labyrinth of the bathhouse, he meets a host of fun, sexy and antagonizing characters that get him closer to finding his dream man. This new comedy musical is sure to make you laugh, dance, and fall into the hole.
"Steamwerkz The Musical" is directed by Clay Goodpasture. Goodpasture is a writer, actor, producer and director that has worked at The Second City, iO, The Playground, and The Annoyance. He is an ensemble member of GayCo Productions and is fresh off of a year-long run of last summer's blockbuster hit spectacular, "The Boy Scout Musical, Knot Prepared" which he co-created with Mick Napier. His directing credits include "Cockettes: A Christmas Spectacular" and "Dread Pirate."
"Steamwerkz The Musical" will preview June 1, 8 and 15. It opens June 22 and will play every Friday at 10:00PM through August 31. There will be NO SHOW on August 17.
