On May 31, the Chicago Red Stars lost to Racing Louisville FC 2-0 in the team's second UKG Challenge Cup match of the season.
The team is now 0-2-0 in Challenge Cup play with four games remaining in the group stage of the tournament.
Duke alumna Sophie Jones made her first start in NWSL action tonight. The rookie debuted for the Red Stars earlier this season when the team took on Mexico's Women's National Team. Also, Taylor Malham also made her first start with the Red Stars against her former club, Racing Louisville FC.
A year after injuring her ACL, defender Kayla Sharples played her first minutes of the season after coming on for Tierna Davidson in the second half.
The Red Stars will next take on Angel City FC on Monday, June 5, at BMO Stadium.
